BOYFRIEND SHORTS?

Shorts: Forever 21 Men / Shirt: Brandy Melville / Purse: Furla (Embossed version) / Shoes: Zara / Sunglasses: Tom Ford / Lipstick: Mac in Up The Amp

Lately I've been looking for some cute shorts but haven't been able to find the right fit. I found these in the mens section at Forever 21 and fell in love!!! These were exactly what I was searching for, just the right fit and design. Sometimes you have to borrow from a entirely different department, in this case the mens department. I for one am obsessed with boyfriend jeans, they are way too comfortable and you can easily put together an outfit with them so why not try a boyfriend short?!

What have you borrowed from the mens section?

FRAZZLED IN FRINGE

 Fringe Vest: HRH Collection
Long Sleeve Top: Brandy Melville
Leather Pants: H&M
Boots: Forever 21
Cross-body Bag: Target (Similar) *currently using as my camera bag*
Necklace: Forever 21 (Similar)

When was the last time I did an outfit post? It's been a while. I thought after the new year, work would slow down and my life would be a little more organized -- so not the case! If you follow me on twitter you might've seen a photo I posted on the current state of my desk.. And it hasn't changed since then. There will be lots of changes coming in the next few months and I'm pretty excited to share some of those things with you all!

..Getting back to my outfit, the other night I went Soho to return a few things from Zara and had an event to go to which ended up being a total FAIL! So I went to the gym instead. Just thought I'd share what I wore, I kept it very casual and stuck to my staple color pallet. I wore some faux-leather black pants to contrast with the suede boots, wearing different textures helps balance an all black outfit. I threw on this super cute fringe vest I purchased a few months ago, this basically turned a very bland outfit into something interesting; and added a statement necklace for more interest.

I'm trying to start taking more daytime photos -- I hate night lighting but during this season my day is so busy that my only opportunity sometimes is to get some shots in at night. The seasons will be changing soon and daylight will last longer.. I can't wait!

GLAM IN PINK: HOLIDAY STYLE PT. 2

Jacket: H&M (In-store or similar)
Skirt: Forever 21 (Similar)
Shoes: Forever 21
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (Similar)
Necklace: H&M (Similar here or here)

As discussed in my last post here is the glam look. I've had this skirt for a year and honestly have never worn it. I must've saved it for a reason because I really loved how I styled it. The skirt is the most beautiful blushing pink color. I paired the skirt with a black cropped top and some over the knee boot. The jewelry in this look make it so glam with the chunky necklace and drop earrings. While in  h&m recently I found this cute coat, It was only about $30; such a steal and It also has a detachable faux-fur stole.

I think this is the perfect holiday date-night look, this is my boyfriends favorite; probably because its girly yet it shows off a little bit of skin. Minus the bag this look comes under $100! You might have to look around a bit but some of these items can be right in your closet, you don't have to spend a ton to look fabulous!

CLASSY IN WINTER WHITE: HOLIDAY STYLE

Blazer: H&M (Similar)
Sweater: H&M (Similar)
Skirt: BCBG
Heels: Nine West
Earrings: H&M
Lipstick: MAC Cosmetics

There are so many holiday events coming up and I thought I'd give you guys some more ideas on what to wear... You might have two or three parties to go to and sometimes it can become a headache to pull inspiration. I will be posting three looks throughout the rest of this week! This one which is very classy, another with a little more sparkle and lastly an outfit with some edge.

Dressing up for the holidays is so much fun! I love the crisp look of all white. This is probably one of my favorite looks this season. This is definitely a Christmas party outfit, something other than that little black dress. I styled this gorgeous fuzzy sweater with a bandage skirt (I have this skirt in like 5 different colors - wardrobe staple) to balance out the textures and threw on a blazer to make it look pulled together. These snake skin shoes add some fun to the outfit as well as the clutch and wine colored lips.

I will more than likely end up wearing this to my sisters, for her annual Christmas shindig...
Stay tuned for the next look that has a wee bit of sparkle!

October Beauty Favorites

So I will be starting up a YouTube channel soon, sharing more beauty and fashion tips but until I do here are my beauty favorites for the month of October. I thought it might be interesting to share some things that I couldn't be without this month.

1. Essie polish in Berry Naughty - such a great fall color!
2. The Balm's Bahama Mama Bronzer - the perfect matte bronzer for my current complexion, I am sure by next month any tan I still have left will fade and I will have to go back to Nars laguna bronzer.
3. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed - an everyday natural blush.
5. Maybelline Master Precise liner - easy to apply.
6. MAC's Riri Woo - gorgeous matte red.
7. L'Oreal Caresse Lipstick in Sheer Linen - better version of my natural lip shade.
8. NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair - perfect baby pink.
9. B&BW Amber Blush perfume - great fall & winter scent.
10. Benefit They're Real Mascara - gives fullness & length to lashes.
11. Stila Long Wear Lip Color in Coquette - all time favorite.

RIRI WOO

This little beaute just made it into my lipstick collection (like I needed another lipstick). I was obviously just sucked in by the packaging. I don't own a matte red lipstick so I guess it wasn't too unnecessary ;)
[here's a quick swatch of the color]

Wish I could've grabbed the nude color! The finish is amazing and the shade of red is perfect. Anyway if you can get your hands on one of the items from the collection I would highly recommend you do -- just for the packaging alone!
