VIVA LA MEXICO!

If you don't already know I've been in Mexico the past few days and I am so sad to be back. It was just gorgeous! I was there for 5 days and it was not long enough... I went with my boyfriend and two of our friends. It was my first time out of the country (Puerto Rico doesn't count). I had an amazing experience and would jump at the chance to go back.

I stayed at the Oasis Sens resort which was all inclusive and I would say there were definitely some pros and cons to this resort. Food wasn't too great, some of the restaurants we're closed throughout our stay and the ones that were open weren't that great. For the most part I was at the bar anyway... Everything else was fantastic and I would recommend staying here but if you are looking to party at the strip of clubs they have in Mexico I would say to stay a bit further down.

FRESHEN UP FOR SUMMER

Some amazing pieces to freshen up your Summer wardrobe...
Summer fits

1. No-Sleeve Blazer: This is an awesome piece to add in for summer so that you can easily pull together any outfit without wearing a regular blazer that will have you sweating in seconds!
2. Beaded Skirts: This trend is one that I find easy to pull off with just a simple t-shirt or tank. Swap day-time flats for heels and you can switch from day to night.

9. Aviators! So lightweight and they look amazing in these new colored lens'.

Maybelline Vivids Collection

I am sure many of you have seen these in the drugstores recently but I went on a major scavenger hunt to find these. They are the new Maybelline Vivids lipsticks. Aren't they gorgeous? Every single color is unbelievably amazing and I still want more...

The few I got to pick up we're:
From left to right
Pink Pop #860 - Fuchsia Flash #865 - Brazen Berry #905 - Hot Plum #900
Look how vibrant all the colors are! The pigmentation on these is unreal, I am so happy to add these to my collection. As far as texture goes, these go on very smooth and they are so moisturizing. I'm pretty much obsessed, and the packaging is really pretty too.

Go check these out at your local drugstore!

URBAN DECAY NAKED BASICS PALETTE:

Last friday I was wandering Times Square and passed Sephora, of course I had to go in and check out all the new makeup and pick up a few things. Little did I know they had already released the Naked Basics palettes in stores. I had only seen these sold online on the Urban Decay website. I had been dying to get my hands on this since I had heard they would be releasing this 3rd edition in the naked family. At the price of $27 I had to get it!

I think this palette is a great addition to my little family of three. It is so compact which is great for traveling. It has the perfect amount of shades in order to do an everyday neutral look or even a night time smokey eye. I am in love with this!
The palette includes 5 matte shades and 1 satin finish shade. So it has 6 full size Urban Decay eyeshadows. If you already own the Naked palette or the Naked 2 palette then this might not be such a standout product but for me it is hard to do a less shimmery look with the other 2 palettes so the Naked Basics with all of its matte shades is perfect.
(swatches: top photo taken without flash / bottom photo taken with flash)

Cons:
- Similar to the naked 1 & 2
- Price can be an issue if compared to the other 2 palettes that are $50 for 12 shadows.
- The other 2 palettes comes with an additional item such as a primer potion, brush, or eyeliner.

* I think you can only consider those cons if you are comparing it to the other Naked palettes.*

COMPARE:
I highly recommend you go check this palette out! It is in a great price range, perfect for an every day look and in a compact size. This was on my holiday gift guide post so if you want this go add it to your holiday wish list!
