San Francisco!

Top: Zara (Old) / Jeans: H&M / Espadrilles: H&M / Purse: Phillip Lim for Target (Check eBay here) / Sunglasses: Chanel

As discussed I will be sharing with you all parts of my trip! Since the trip was split into three cities we had to make the most out of each day there and because our first day was spent mostly traveling and eating we had to make up for lost time. My boyfriend and I met up with some friends that live in San Francisco and they were able to show us a great view, take us to a finger licking good food spot and thrifting on Haight Street! I would say that sums up a great second day.

Here are some photos taken throughout the day...

First stop: Twin Peaks
Two hills in the center of San Francisco -- an amazing view of the city!

Second stop: FOOD!
We ate at San Tung #2. These are by far the best wings I've ever tasted. Looking at this photo is making my mouth water! If you have ever had Bon Chon then these are comparable but I think San Tung is definitely better. Wish I could've taken some home...

Third stop: Haight Street
I visited Wasteland and a few other thrift shops on Haight and was pleasantly surprised at how much more selection they have versus New York. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're ever in San Francisco.
* Haul coming soon

I had such a great time in Frisco and can't wait to go back; next time I will be bringing a jacket along. Thanks for showing us around Jerry and Ferl.

I've Got Sunshine...

Blouse: Zara (Old but another option here or here) / Shorts: Forever 21 (Similar) / Shoes: Asos / Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli / Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I'm back from a much needed vacation! I took a trip to the west coast and got to explore San Francisco, Los Angeles and Vegas. I had such a good time but cramming all of those cities into one trip is very exhausting! You can see more photos of my trip on my instagram. I will be posting some of my outfit posts as well as a YouTube video on my trip later on this week, stay tuned!

Onto the point of this post... I took these photos right before I left for vacation and hadn't uploaded the photos to my laptop, hence the late post! As you all know I love wearing all black but that can tend to be a bit suffocating under New York City's blazing sun and humidity so adding items with some lighter tones and a bit of lace can definitely help. The cut of this shirt has a more masculine shape to it but with the floral print and peek of lace it screams feminine. I added some loose fitted shorts and basic black sandals with some of my go to accessories and was out the door. One more detail is that all accents on this outfit are black and gold which makes the look appear more put together. This is such an easy look, I'm sure I'll be wearing it again and again.

The summer isn't long enough so enjoy every bit of sunshine.

Keepin' it Casual

Sweater: Zara (Similar) / Shorts: H&M / Purse: Louis Vuitton Siracusa GM (This size is no longer available online but MM version here) / Shoes: Target (Old but similar here) / Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Some days I honestly just love to throw on some neutral basics and call it a day. Summer is all about easy breezy so why not keep things simple. This type of attire reminds me of Jennifer Aniston's style, she always looks so effortless and it works so well for her.

Keeping things short and sweet...

Bringing It Back

Top: Forever 21 / Shorts: Zara (Old but similar here) / Purse: Vintage Gucci (Consignment shop find but check eBay) / Shoes: Forever 21 / Sunglasses: H&M

A wave of nostalgia swept over me when I put this top on, it brought me back to the 90's. Maybe this top was even popular before then but I remember my eldest sister wearing this exact top when she was a teen and I thought she was so stylish! It's amazing how fashion always seems to come full circle. I definitely could have added some platforms to this look and keep with the era but I am still very in love with the dainty strappy sandal. I added some printed floral shorts I purchased while in Mexico last Summer and my very old vintage Gucci bag. Belly shirts or crop tops are here to stay people!

What recent article of clothing have you spotted that brought you back to your youth?

P.S. Sorry for the late post, I've been having computer issues :(

Review: NYX Macaron Lippie

NYX Cosmetics recently launched a line of very unique and colorful lip products called Macaron lippies. The name definitely suits the product, however the question is do they live up to other products from the NYX line. I received these as a gift recently and thought I'd share my thoughts...
From left to right: Coconut - Black Sesame - Citron - Orange Blossom - Rose - Key Lime - Pistachio - Earl Grey - Chambord

*They have more colors in the line but these are the ones I have.
They swatch beautifully and they also go on true to color however due to the product being a very creamy consistency they seem to collect product in certain areas of the lips; I've noticed this more with the shade Coconut as well as the greenish-blue shades. They are highly pigmented but because the formula is so creamy they can sheer out a bit. Honestly these are not shades that are going to have much wear, once you start to take a sip of a drink you will have to reapply which isn't ideal.

Overall I think if you are into being adventurous with your makeup then they would be perfect for you or even for costume purposes but these are definitely not for your average girl.  They are only $6 each so I would give at least one color a shot if you seem intrigued. You can purchase them here or here.

What product would you like me to review next?
